Celia Griffin; Neutral Financial Mediator
Celia works with couples to help them envision possible settlement ideas by entering their property, income, and future budget info in her software, then providing financial forecasting for the clients to review and evaluate how many of their financial interests are met by their settlement ideas.
Celia does not give legal advice and does not try to tell you what a court would do. Celia has worked with hundreds of couples since becoming a CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst) in 2004. She enjoys problem solving with clients, and she wants your input since you are the ones who know what will work best for you.
Celia has more than 25 years of experience as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), and she trained as a mediator in Fall 2006 at the University of Washington Professional Mediation Skills Training Program. She has attended additional mediation trainings over the years to increase her Collaborative skillset.
Celia is not an attorney, she is a financial analyst. Her ending work product will not be a contract for you to sign; it will be a spreadsheet and budget, showing what you have tentatively agreed to, which you can then take to your individual attorneys for their advice and you can have one of them write up your documents. If you need an attorney to write up your documents who has also been collaboratively trained, ask Celia and she can provide you with attorney referrals.
